John Dennis

John R. Dennis, 67, of Garber, Oklahoma was the son of David and Alma Clemons Dennis. He was born December 13, 1937 in Cushing, Oklahoma and died Monday, November 7, 2005 at Integris Bass Pavilion in Enid, Oklahoma. JR and Joye Stalnaker were married in May, 1965 in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was a veteran who served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a Garber police officer for 20 years. JR enjoyed fishing, leather work and his grandkids. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Garber. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Garber. Interment will be in the Paradise Cemetery at Breckinridge, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home of Garber, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the Jesus House in care of Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Garber, OK 73738. In addition to his wife, Joye, survivors are three sons, Troy Dennis and his wife, Sheri, of Garber, Oklahoma, John Ralph Dennis Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Jacktown, Oklahoma and J.D. Dennis and his wife, Terry, of Enid, Oklahoma; two daughters, Debbie Steffen and Dana Dennis and her husband, Chris Mochon, of Garber, Oklahoma; one brother, Leon Dennis and his wife, Barbara, of Pryor, Oklahoma; one sister, Murna Dennis and her partner, Danyel Walters, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several aunts and uncles. His parents, two daughters, Connie Lee Dunn and Melody Dennis, one sister, Sarah Kay Dennis, preceded him in death.
