Joe H. Burgin, 70, of Muskogee, Oklahoma was the son of Manford and Itha Hodges Burgin. He was born May 12, 1937 and died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the home of his daughter at Mulhall, Oklahoma. Joe graduated from the Riverton, Kansas High School and also was a graduate of Oklahoma AM at Stillwater, Oklahoma. He was a rancher who raised Brangus cattle and had worked in the construction business. He was a member and president of the Oklahoma Brangus Breeders Association and a member of the International Brangus Breeders Association. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2007 in the Oktaha United Methodist Church at Oktaha, Oklahoma. Rev. Gerald Powley will officiate. Interment will be in the Oktaha Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the Oktaha United Methodist Church in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Joe is survived by two daughters, Gaye Pfeiffer and her husband, John, of Mulhall, Oklahoma, and Jodi Jackson and her husband, David, of Waco, Texas; one son, Bret Burgin and his wife, Paige, of Spearman, Texas; and six grandchildren, John C. Pfeiffer, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Andy Pfeiffer, of Mulhall, Oklahoma, Emily Jackson and Connor Jackson, both of Waco, Texas, and Jaci Burgin and Carter Burgin, both of Spearman, Texas.
