Jevon Simone-Lateef Dickens was the seven-year-old son of Stacey Dickens and Daniel Cerny of Enid, Oklahoma and Armand and Christie Dickens of Pensacola, Florida. He was born June 22, 2000 in Enid Oklahoma and went to be with his heavenly father on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at St. Maryrsquo;s Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma. Jevon was a second grade student at Taft Elementary School in Enid. He enjoyed playing his Nintendo DS and Mario Party DS was his favorite game. He liked to watch football with his dad and paternal granddad and college football with his step-dad. His paternal granddad nicknamed him ldquo;Pooh Bearrdquo;. His mother and stepfather called him ldquo;J Manrdquo;. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Garber. Pastor Joseph Myers will officiate. Interment will be in the Garber Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home of Garber. A family visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association in care of Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Garber, Oklahoma 73738. In addition to his parents, Jevon is survived by five sisters, Reylina Dickens, Pauline Mae Cerny, Amanda Cerny, Kaitlin Cerny and Ariel Dow, all of Enid, Oklahoma; one brother, Shon Cerny, of Enid, Oklahoma; maternal grandparents, Bob and Frances Hickman, of San Diego, California; paternal grandparents, John and Helen Dickens, of Pensacola, Florida; maternal step-grandparents, Emma Cerny and Gene Cerny, both of Enid, Oklahoma; and paternal step-grandparents, David Bryant Sr. and Cheryl Bryant, both of Pensacola, Florida. Jevon was preceded in death by maternal great-grandmother, Pauline Marking; maternal great-grandfathers, William Marking and William Hickman; paternal great-grandmother, Ruth Melinie; paternal uncle, Simone Dickens; and paternal great-uncle, Sam Cerny, maternal step-great- grandmother, Jesse Postier and maternal step-great-grandfather, Harold Postier.
