Jean Malget

April 3, 1914 — August 10, 2011

Jean Malget, 97, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Charles Monroe and Edith Adeline Manlove Schock. She was born April 3, 1914, at Lone Wolf, Oklahoma and died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Green Valley Nursing Home. Jean graduated from Lone Wolf High School in 1932. She then attended Oklahoma AM and obtained her teaching certificate, serving rural Noble County schools for seven years. On July 20, 1941 she married John Domnick Malget in Perry, Oklahoma. Jean also was a member of the Wives, Mothers, Daughters and Sisters Homemakers Club Wimodausis, as well as serving as an assistant 4H leader. She was a skilled seamstress, creating beautiful quilts. In addition to gardening, Jean delighted in hosting family, especially at the holidays. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Father Dan Letourneau will officiate. Interment will be in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2011, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Seventh Street, Perry, Oklahoma, 73077. Jean is survived by, one son, David Malget and his wife Lois of Perry, Oklahoma one daughter Margaret Gary and her husband Lewis, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma four grandchildren, Troy VanBrunt and his wife Jayme of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, Rev. John David Malget Jr. and his wife Sherri of Houston, Texas, Sandra Kay Malget and her husband Tom Stanley of Perry, Oklahoma, Ray Michael Malget of Perry, Oklahoma seven great grandchildren John Domnick Malget, Kristin Malget both of Houston, Texas, Ethan VanBrunt of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, Caroline Malget, Mary Malget, Thomas Stanley Jr. and Jean Stanley all of Perry, Oklahoma , one sister, Charlotte Nunnery of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Domnick Malget one infant daughter Patricia Malget, her parents, eight brothers and sisters, Alice Sigbornson, Muriel Malget, Paul Schock, Ruth Wyatt, Henry Schock, Louise Schock, Raymond Schock and Louis Schock.
