Ione Lorraine Combrink, 91, of Enid, Oklahoma, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 in Enid, Oklahoma. She was born on June 10, 1920 at Garber, Oklahoma to Albert Henry and Ida Augusta Grother Johnson. She lived in the Garber area until she was married in 1940 and moved to the farm in Billings. In 1984 she moved to Enid until time of passing. Ione was an avid sports enthusiast. She and Glen went to every state basketball tournament with their friends. They would always watch OU and OSU sports with OU being their favorite. She never missed one of her childrens games while they were playing their individual sports. Ione loved her flowers and everywhere she lived she planted flowers and they would always grow even in places that nothing else would grow. Her pride and joy though were her kids and grandchildren whom she adored. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Garber. Rev. Scott Ray will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Billings, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home of Garber. Family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Dugger Funeral Home, Garber, Oklahoma. Ione is survived by one daughter, Glenda Sue Jennings and her husband, Bob of Mustang, Oklahoma one son, Gary Dean Combrink and his wife Lindy of Enid, Oklahoma five grandchildren, Coy Jennings of Mustang, Oklahoma, Lance Combrink of Houston, Texas, Cara Jennings Polifka of Garber, Oklahoma, Curt Jennings of Mustang, Oklahoma, Jill Combrink Kahn, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and ten great grandchildren.
