Lifetime Perry area resident, Henry Voise Jr. was born in Perry, Oklahoma on September 6, 1923 to Henry and Winnie Beier Voise. He departed this life on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at his home in Perry. Henry graduated from Sumner High School and went on to attend Oklahoma State University for a short time. On June 15, 1945 at a farm east of Sumner, Oklahoma, Henry Voise was united in marriage with the late, Iva Focht and to this union one child was born, Wade Voise. Henry provided for his wife and son by farming and raising cattle. Henry was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, where he played the organ for sixty plus years. He also enjoyed playing the steel guitar and the piano. Henry loved to tell stories and was a natural comedian. He will be missed by all that loved and knew him. Henry is survived by one son, Wade Voise and his wife, Marilynn of Perry one sister, Bernice Schieffer of Perry one brother, Roland Voise and his wife, Susan of Arlington, Texas two grandchildren, Russell Voise and his wife, Reese, and Lauren Colorio and her husband, Zach and two greatgrandchildren, Abby and Jacob Voise. He was preceded in death by his parents his wife, Iva Voise one sister, Nadine Eisenstat and one grandson, Adam Voise. The family will be receiving friends from 6pm to 8pm, Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at BrownDugger Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2pm, Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Thimell officiating. Interment will follow in Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma. Memorial may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church or to St. Jude in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home 1010 N. 7th, Perry, OK 73077.
