Hazel Cutsinger

April 26, 1916 — May 22, 2009

Hazel Marie Cutsinger, 93, of Perry, Oklahoma was the daughter of Robert J. and Eva May Bay Parrick. She was born April 26, 1916 in Drumright, Oklahoma and went to be with her heavenly father, Friday, May 22, 2009 at Perry Memorial Hospital. In 1932, she and Frank A. Cutsinger were married in Perry, Oklahoma. They are renewing their vows today after 75 years of marriage. The couple made their first home in Kay County, near Frank's parents. The Cutsinger's moved to Perry, Oklahoma in 1936. Hazel enjoyed working as a sponsor for the Perry Campfire Horizon and being a Boy Scouts mentor. She was also a sponsor in the Perry Takedown Club. At First Presbyterian Church in Perry, Hazel was the first female deacon. She worked with women's ministries, Bible School and the quilting group. She was still contributing to the bazaar this year. She enjoyed gardening, being a florist, jeweler and antique dealer. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 25, 2009 at the Grace Hill Memorial Pavilion in Grace Hill Cemetery. Rick Rhodes will officiate, assisted by Rev. Roy E. Jones. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Perry or the charity of the donor's choice in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Hazel is survived by one daughter, Pastor Sally Anne Weiesnbach, of Muskogee, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Sharee Wells, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Susun Wilkinson, of San Ignacio, Belize, Sam Stokes, of Seattle, Washington, Steve Cutsinger, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Merlene Wolfe, of Ada, Oklahoma, Darla Ritter, of Mulhall, Oklahoma and Avery Reeder, of Perry, Oklahoma; nine great-grandchildren, Ashlea Stokes, Michael Stokes and Matthew Stokes, all of Seattle, Washington, Mitch Wolfe and Michaela Wolfe, both of Ada, Oklahoma, Tahra Pando of Inola, Oklahoma, Travis Ritter, of Mulhall, Oklahoma, Lindsey Reeder and Chase Reeder, both of Perry, Oklahoma; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lillie Neal of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Helen Henshaw of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Laura Sis Brown of Depew, Oklahoma and two brothers, Pete Parrick and Delbert Parrick, both of Depew, Oklahoma. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; one son, Frank Glen Brother Cutsinger, and parents, Robert and Eva Parrick.
