Harold Loveless

April 21, 1921 — June 26, 2009

Harold E. Loveless, 88, of Perry, Oklahoma was the son of Harley and Helen Hoss Loveless. He was born April 21, 1921 at Perry, Oklahoma and died Friday, June 26, 2009 at his home. Harold served his country as a deep sea
er in the United States Navy during World War II and achieved the rank of Machinist First Class before he was discharged from military service. He had been stationed in California, Washington and Alaska and, while preparing for overseas duty, he suffered a ruptured appendix. The war ended before he was shipped overseas. On July 6, 1944, he and Lorene Catherine Beier were married in Christ Lutheran Church in Perry. Harold worked as a farm equipment mechanic for John Deere before retiring. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he was an usher for over 50 years. He was a member of the Church Council, having served as president, secretary and treasurer. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed watching sports. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2009 at Zion Lutheran Church, east of Perry. Rev. Craig Groseclose will officiate. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. In addition to his wife, Lorene, Harold is survived by one daughter, Pam Waren and her husband, Charles, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; three granddaughters, Traci Waren Hazel and her husband, Mike, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tiffany Waren McClendon and her husband, Allen, of Drumright, Oklahoma and Brittany Waren of Stillwater, Oklahoma; four great-grandchildren, Riley Hazel and Carson Hazel, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Brent McClendon and RayLynn McClendon, both of Drumright, Oklahoma; one step-sister, Lorene James of Pawnee, Oklahoma; and three nieces, Karen Bryant and her husband, Norman, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Kathy Cooper of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Doris Price and her husband, Harold, of Miami, Oklahoma. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Helen Loveless, and one sister, Catherine Brorsen.
