Monday, August 6, 2018 in Perry, Oklahoma.
Gwendolyn grew up in the Lucien community with 4 other siblings. She attended and graduated from Hayward High School. She married James Leroy Miller on September 27, 1958 and they had 4 wonderful children. They raised their family in Covington, Oklahoma, but also lived in a few other places here and there.
She worked as a homemaker for most of her life. Her favorite thing to do was take care of her family. She was a loving and sweet mother, grandmother, and wife who never missed an event that her children would attend. Gwendolyn enjoyed her cowboy shows, such as the John Wayne movies, The Virginian, Raw Hide, and the list goes on and on. In her earlier years she would paint. She loved to paint and sketch, but as she aged her arthritis wouldn't allow her that hobby. She stared collecting rocks and going out to play bingo. After she had all of the kids out of the house, her and James loved to go out and ride the country side. They would occasionally go as far as Arizona.
She would volunteer some of her time to taking care of the elderly. Gwendolyn was a caregiver whether it was for her elderly patients or her own family, she loved to be able to give to others.
