Glenna Mae Werner, 76, of Red Oak, Texas, was the daughter of Glenn and Bessie Gillaspy Albin. She was born August 29, 1932 at Perry, Oklahoma and died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at her home. Glenna and William Charles Werner were married on December 2, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. She was a nurse who was employed at Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma before retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Desoto, Texas. Glenna enjoyed reading, crocheting, learning about astronomy, and bird watching. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009 in the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Stanley Buckmaster will officiate. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, south of Perry. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Glenna is survived by one daughter, Lindy King and her husband, Paul, of Red Oak, Texas; three grandchildren, Tyler King, Haley King and Matthew King, all of Red Oak, Texas; one sister, Gloria Murphy of Belle Fourche, South Dakota; niece, Danette Larkins of Lincoln, Nebraska; a great-nephew, Cody Larkins of Lincoln, Nebraska and a great-niece, Heather Larkins of Lincoln, Nebraska; along with other nieces, nephews, and family in Oklahoma, Colorado, South Dakota, and Arkansas. In addition to her husband, William, who died on January 6, 1986, Glenna was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Bessie Albin, and one sister, Patsy Varner.
