Georgianna Ruth (Holt) Kroll departed this life on Thursday, September 19, 2024, in Enid, OK surrounded by loved ones. She was born on December 3, 1951, in Perry, OK to Paul and Barbara Holt of Billings. They lived in Billings until she was six years old and moved to Garber when she started first grade in 1958. While attending Garber Schools she participated in basketball and band where she played the clarinet. When she was 10, she was baptized in the Garber Christian Church. Georgianna graduated from Garber High School in 1970. On July 23, 1971, she married Nicky Kroll and became a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Garber. The couple have three children: Paula, Jamie, and Dusty.
Georgianna became a farm girl driving wheat trucks and learning what it takes to have children showing livestock. She became an expert at ratting the tail of her children’s calves. During harvest, she cooked for the farm hands along with all the family who showed up to eat her amazing food. When harvest was over, every farm hand was 20 to 30 pounds heavier than they were at the beginning of summer.
In 1994 she attended Beauty School with her daughter Jamie (because Jamie would not go alone) and graduated in 1995. For a brief period of time, she worked with Susie Postier in her beauty shop.
Georgianna, otherwise known as “Mother” by her grandchildren and their friends, was an avid supporter of all of her grandchildren’s school events. She loved cheering on the Garber Wolverines. She also enjoyed playing cards at the casino, going to shows, and visiting with anyone sitting near her. She never knew a stranger.
Those who were lucky enough to know her will remember her for her quick wit, her April Fool’s jokes, her fun-loving personality, and her contagious laughter.
Georgianna fought a hard battle the last couple of years and will be truly missed by all members of her family. She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Nicky Kroll; daughters Paula Wickham and Jamie Klusmeyer (Shelby); grandchildren Austin Powell (Maggie), Zachary Powell, Tyler Miller (Elizabeth), Jordan Powell, and Jayden Klusmeyer (Julia); great-grandchildren Dawson and Rhett Powell, Remington, Hardy, and Mary Powell, and Journey and Jameson Klusmeyer; mother Barbara Holt; sisters Terry Tatro (Mike) and Cindy Jones; sister-in-law Deanne Bentz (Teddy) and brother-in-law, Monty Kroll (Marilyn). She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as her uncle Judd Kopp.
She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Holt; son, Dusty Kroll; granddaughter, Rylea Powell; in-laws Clarence and Gay Kroll, as well as her grandmother, Georgia Engel, who spoiled her rotten.
