Gene F. Bay, 96, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the son of Clarence Gilbert and Iva Myrtle Biggs Bay. He was born on the old homestead southeast of Perry on July 19, 1911 and died Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry. On June 3, 1934, Gene married Evelyn Anna Lampe in Perry, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on January 6, 1989. Gene served as Noble county district three commissioner continuously for nearly 14 years. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and the Morrison Lions Club. Gene loved ranching, gardening and playing cards. He married Deloris Marshall in July of 1991 in Perry, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2008 at the Christ Lutheran Church. Rev. William Metz will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry. Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Hour or the American Cancer Society in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Gene is survived by one son, Wayne Bay and his wife, Nancy, of Edmond, Oklahoma; two daughters, Phyllis Bonfy and her husband, Buddy, of Albert Lea, Minnesota and Betty Hildebrand and her husband, Floyd, of Blackwell, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Gloria Waugh of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Craig Bay of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Byron Hildebrand of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Justin Hildebrand of Dallas, Texas, Randy Bonfy of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Amie Simmons of Nashville, Tennessee, Darren Hildebrand of Arlington, Virginia and Marty Bonfy of Des Moines, Iowa; thirteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one grandson, Eric Bay and one brother, Glenn Bay. Condolences may be sent to our online guest book at www.brown-duggerfuneralhome.com.
