Gary Johannes

Gary Dell Johannes, 70, passed away Thursday, July 25th in Oklahoma City after battling a long illness.

He was born February 6, 1949, in Anthony, Kansas, and lived most of his life in the Oklahoma City area. He was baptized as an infant at Christ Lutheran Church in Perry, Oklahoma, and was confirmed at Messiah Lutheran Church in Oklahoma in 1964. He graduated from Putnam City High School in 1968. He worked at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by a brother Terry Dean Johannes in 1993, his father Arnold Roy Johannes in 1996, and niece Sarah Michelle Ramage in 2005.

He is survived by his mother Hazel Mae Johannes of Oklahoma City, a brother Larry Frank Johannes of Oklahoma City, a sister and brother-in-law Carol Ann and Steven Jess Reynolds of Oklahoma City, and sister- in-law Cindra Johannes of Yukon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and many great-nephews.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 28th from 2pm to 4pm and on Monday, July 29th from 9am to 11am at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry, Oklahoma, on Monday, July 29th at 1pm.
