Franklin Stehno

July 3, 1934 — December 24, 2013

Franklin D. Stehno 79 of Billings, Oklahoma, was the son of Frank and Crystal Lillie Harlow Stehno. He was born on July the 3rd, 1934 in Billings, Oklahoma and went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at St. Marys Medical Center in Enid, Oklahoma. Frank was a graduate of Billings High School. He obtained his Bachelors and Masters of Science in Agricultural Education from Oklahoma State University. He taught Vocational Agricultural for many years in Colorado and Oklahoma and he ended his teaching career at Carl Albert State College, Poteau Oklahoma. While teaching at Carl Albert State College he led the rodeo team to the National College Finals rodeo in Bozeman, Montana. He devoted his life to the education of young individuals in their pursuit of rodeo and agricultural careers. He was a lifelong cattle rancher and farmer, and raised championship show cattle. Franklin was a member of the Elks Lodge in Alva, Oklahoma for over 50 years. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Billings, Oklahoma. Kurtis Stoll will officiate and Frank Tepe will assist. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Billings, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home, Billings, Oklahoma. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Dugger Funeral Home, Billings, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in care of Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N 7th, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Franklin is survived by his dearest friend and companion, Virginia Kidd of Billings, Oklahoma three sons, Albert Stehno of Billings, Oklahoma, Scott Stehno of Moore, Oklahoma, Kent Stehno of Roundhill, Kentucky brother, Dale Stehno and his wife, Ann of Colorado three grandchildren, Kimberly Stehno of Roundhill, Kentucky, Julie Meder of Yukon, Oklahoma and Kolton Stehno of Moore, Oklahoma three greatgrandchild, Clint Meder of Yukon, Oklahoma, Korbin Stehno and Kaylee Stehno both of Moore, Oklahoma.
