Everett was born June 10, 1952, to Oscar and Lydia Nelson of Ponca City, Oklahoma. He married the love of his life, Linda Eileen Nelson, on August 6, 1976, and together they had three sons; Matthew, Mark, and Scott.
Never one to take on an easy task, Everett was known for being an extremely hard-worker and jack-of-all-trades. There was never a skill foreign to him, as he could do it all. Everett worked alongside his father as a plumber for 20 years and for Conoco as a plumber for 15 years.
Everett enjoyed cooking for his family, hunting, fishing, sailing in his sail boat and doing anything outdoors. He loved helping his sons with any and every project, never failing to offer his fatherly advice. When they needed him, he was always there. Everett was a loving and devoted husband to Linda, whom he pampered and spoiled. He had many passions, hobbies, and talents, but what he loved most was spending time with his four beautiful granddaughters; Brayley, Daisy, Adley, and Scarlett.
In addition to spending time with his family, Everett spent a great deal of time with his best friend, Ray Kinnunen. They hunted, fished, and enjoyed each other's company.
Everett leaves behind his beloved wife, Linda of 41 years; his son Matthew and wife Paula of Ponca City, OK; his son Mark and wife Tiffany of Perry, OK; and his son Scott and wife Kyla of Morrison; four granddaughters: Brayley, Daisy, Adley, and Scarlett. He also leaves behind one sister Lois Fahs of Ponca City, OK; one sister-in-law Lisa and husband Richard Groom of Van Alstyne, TX; one brother-in-law Larry Jones and wife Terrie of Houston, TX; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Oscar, his mother Lydia, and his two brothers, David and Jim. He also joins his mother and father-in-law Kathleen and Harold Jones in heaven.
A devoted husband, father, and Papa; Everett will be missed.
