Evelyn Stanley

Evelyn Fern Stanley, 83, of Perry, Oklahoma was the daughter of Ava Lee and Roxy Collins Stanley. She was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on July 9, 1920 and died Monday, September 15, 2003 at Perry Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2003 in the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Roger Dunn will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery under direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Circle of Hope Hospice of Stillwater in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Evelyn was a nurse who had been employed at Perry Nursing Home, Perry Green Valley Nursing Home and Perry Memorial Hospital. She also worked as a private care nurse. On August 3, 1965, she and Sid Stanley were married in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Sid preceded her in death on September 22, 1985. Survivors are one daughter, Mary Turner, and her husband, Daniel, of Perry, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Fred and Lynn McLemore and Mary Tedrow, all of Perry, Oklahoma, Bruce and Rena Winters of Denver, Colorado and Monte and Lisa Davis of San Diego, California; nine great grandchildren, Tonya McLemore, Shawna McLemore, April McLemore, Leah Cross and Kara Cross, all of Perry, Oklahoma, Jeremy Winters, Mellisa Winters, Tiffany Winters and Jasmin Winters, all of Denver, Colorado; one brother, Jack Stanley, and his wife, Betty, of Perry, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sid; two brothers, Lee Stanley and John Stanley and two sisters, Alice Smith and Mary Stanley.
