Ethel Webber, 85, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Murice and Mertie Ralston League. She was born on March 28, 1923 in Beaver City, Oklahoma and died Friday, January 23, 2009 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry. On September 2, 1948, Ethel married Floyd Webber. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1983. Ethel worked for North American Aviation in Kansas City, Missouri and Los Angeles, California. She also worked in restaurants, did laundry, house cleaning and babysitting. Ethel had been a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church since 1983. Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2009 in the Grace Hill Memorial Pavilion at Grace Hill Cemetery. Rev. Roger Dunn will officiate. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church or the Ethel Webber Final Expense Fund in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Ethel is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Webber, her parents, Murice and Mertie League, six sisters, Vernie Brand, Faye Morris, Margaret Melton, Mary Wallingford, Novadea Trout and Frances Evans and four brothers, Edmond League, Bill League, Riley League and Alva League.
