Ernest D. Ernie Moore, 72, of Perry, Oklahoma was the son of Ernest D. Moore and Mary L. Perkins MooreEdmondson. He was born on April 19, 1939 in Perry, Oklahoma and died Saturday, November 19, 2011 at his home. On September 13, 1963, Ernie married Mary Lois Stanley in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on May 6, 2011. Ernie served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from January 14, 1957 until January 13, 1961. He worked in the oilfield and as a welder. Ernie retired from Mercruiser in Stillwater. Ernie enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and watching the western channel. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and was affiliated with the First Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Rick Rhodes will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Judith Karman Hospice in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Ernie is survived by one daughter, Vickie Edwards and her husband, Scott, of Perry, Oklahoma one son, Ernest Dean Moore, Jr. and his wife, Heidi, of Perry, Oklahoma five grandchildren, Christopher Edwards, Michael Edwards, Shauni Edwards, Austin Moore and Anthony Moore, all of Perry, Oklahoma, two brothers, Gary Moore and his wife, Lana, of Perry, Oklahoma and Lloyd Moore and his wife, Sue, of Enid, Oklahoma his motherinlaw, Betty Lois Stanley, of Perry, Oklahoma and three sistersinlaw, Barbara Wilson and her husband, Garry, of Perry, Oklahoma, Carolyn Ferguson of Porterville, California and Jackie Stussy and her husband, Don, of Bakersfield, California. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Moore his father, Ernest Moore his mother and stepfather, Mary and O.K. Edmondson one brother, Robert Lee Moore and his fatherinlaw, Jack Stanley.
