Erma Zook

Erma Leona Maxwell Zook, 83, of Garber, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Warren C. and Ona Wells Maxwell. She was born on June 1, 1928 in Fredonia, Kansas and died Sunday, October 30, 2011 in Enid, Oklahoma. She moved with her family to Oklahoma the next year. Erma Lee attended Woods County Schools. On October 4, 1945, Erma Lee married Howard W. Zook in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2003. Erma Lee was a member of the First Baptist Church in Garber. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Garber Cemetery. Pastor Tom LeGrand will officiate. Services are under the direction Dugger Funeral Home of Garber. Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Dugger Funeral Home, Garber, Oklahoma. Erma Lee is survived by two sons, Pete Zook of Havilland, Kansas and John Zook of Waukomis, Oklahoma one daughter, Lynn James of South Haven, Kansas two brothers, Chester Maxwell of Olympia, Washington and Ernest Maxwell of Douglas, Georgia two sisters, Donna Highfill of Wichita, Kansas and Alma Dickson of Cheney, Kansas five grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Zook her parents, Warren and Ona Maxwell and one sister, Dorothy Upchurch.
