Erline G. Hise was born May 15, 1932 in Thurston County, Winnebago, Nebraska to Earl E. and Leona Mae (Davis) Huffman. She passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home.
Erline graduated from Billings High School in 1950. She married the love of her life, Ramon Hise, on June 9, 1959 in Abilene, Texas. They made their home in Perry, Oklahoma and raised four wonderful daughters. Erline was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Perry, as well as, Republican Women and the Elks Lodge. Erline was one of the first ladies of Oklahoma with the Republican Party. She enjoyed shopping, sewing, and listening to music. Most of all, Erline loved spending time with her family and friends. She always had a cup of coffee and an ear ready to listen when someone stopped by.
Erline is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ramon Hise of Perry; four daughters, Guineal Redman and husband, Kermit of Mulhall, Rachelle Davis and husband, Mike of Perry, Annette Crozier and husband, Jack of Perry, and Lisa Hise and partner, Dennis Hockenbury of Ponca City; one sister, Sylvia Lam of Colfax, Louisiana; one sister-in-law, Wilma Albin of Midland, Texas; ten grandchildren, Angela Howard, Joseph Relph, Michael Relph, Stephanie Davis, Jeremy Davis, Betsy Ross Davis, Crystal Dilbeck, Amanda Valencia, Jill Evens, and Jamie Parrish; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; and one great-granddaughter, Ashton Payne.
Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Perry on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 10:30 am with Pastor Derek Murrow officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Judith Karman Hospice or Noble County PAWs in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th, Perry, OK 73077.
