Emil Beier Jr.

Emil R. Beier Jr., 77, of Perry, Oklahoma was the son of Emil Beier Sr. and Alvina Karcher Beier. He was born February 23, 1930 at Perry, Oklahoma and died Monday, March 12, 2007 at Perry Memorial Hospital. On January 27, 1958, he and Lena Belle Knight were married at Newkirk, Oklahoma. Jr. was a loving and caring father whose family came first. He was hard working and enjoyed the outdoors. Jr. farmed in the Perry community. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Zion Lutheran Church, east of Perry. Pastor Dan Thimell will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. In addition to his wife, Lena Belle, of the home, Jr. is survived by one son, Steven Beier and his wife, Tammy, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one daughter, Alvina Shearer and her husband, Mark, of Perry, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Wells and her husband, Christopher, Emily Beier and Sherri Beier, all of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Christy Shuman and her husband, Jimmy, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Brandon Shearer, of Perkins, Oklahoma; three great-grandchildren, Brandley Shuman, Christopher Shuman and Carter Wells; one brother, Arnold Beier, and his wife, Eunice, of Linn, Kansas; four sisters, Leona Rice and her husband, C.R., and Lorene Loveless and her husband, Harold, all of Perry, Oklahoma, Marlene Oltmanns and her husband, Karl, of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Carol Fuxa and her husband, John, of Weatherford, Texas; and one sister-in-law, Cleva Jo Beier, of Perry, Oklahoma. Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Margie Beier and Lillian Jones, and two brothers, Edward Beier and Rudolph Beier.
