Elzada Adams, 100, of Joplin, Missouri, formerly of Perry, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, May 22, 2006 at Spring River Christian Village in Joplin, Missouri. She was born October 19, 1905 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to the late Mahew and Ada Ford Stephens. Elzada married Arthur L. Adams in Perry, Oklahoma on December 31, 1927. Together they owned and operated a farm east of Perry in the Sumner community. After retirement in 1968, they moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma. Elzada had made her home in Joplin, Missouri since 1994. Elzada loved to crochet. Her beautiful creations were frequent and treasured gifts to family and friends. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2006 in the Grace Hill Memorial Pavilion at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. Ed Cook will officiate. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry. A family visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Spring River Christian Village in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Survivors are one son, Bob Adams, and his wife, Jean, of Joplin, Missouri; her son-in-law, Lloyd Blurton, of Liberty, Missouri; four grandchildren, Donna Adams Calcote, Kenneth Blurton, Brad Adams and Mila Blurton; six great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews and many faithful friends. Elzada was preceded in death by her husband in 1992; her daughter, Bonnie Adams Blurton in 1978; one great-granddaughter, Bonnie; her parents, six sisters, Floy Ewy, Esther Lane, Deliah Ewy, Velma Gay, Georgia McQuain and Ruth Roush; and five brothers, Walter, Lymon, Loyd, Clarence and Glenn Stephens.
