Elvin Richard Wiseman, 62, of Katy, Texas, was the son of Charlie Riley and Clara Elizabeth Foote Wiseman. He was born on September 14, 1948 in Ponca City, Oklahoma and died, Wednesday, November 10, 2010 in Houston, Texas. Elvin was a 1966 graduate of Red Rock High School and then graduated from Central State College in 1970. On June 24, 1972, Elvin married Barbara Kay Patterson in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Elvin worked for Neste Petroleum as an Oil and Gas Accountant for sixteen years. He attained his CPA in 1993. He was a member of Houstons First Baptist Church, AICPA and Tau Kappa Epsilon. Elvin was an avid supporter of many charity organizations including the Salvation Army, American Diabetes Association and the Christian Veterinary Association. He enjoyed woodworking and reading. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Grace Hill Memorial Pavilion in Grace Hill Cemetery. Brother Aaron Summers will officiate. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Houston Hospice in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Elvin is survived by his wife, Barbara Kay Wiseman of Katy, Texas one son, Eric Richard Wiseman of San Diego, California one daughter, Emily Anne Christodoulides of Dallas, Texas mother, Clara Wiseman of Perry, Oklahoma one brother, Frank Wiseman of Perry, Oklahoma and one sister, Charlotte Archer of Bay City, Texas.
