Edith Prather

Edith Louise Prather, 81, Garber, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Burt and Ora Edith Mills Allen. She was born on August 19, 1922 in Yarnaby, Oklahoma and died Friday, November 14, 2003 at the Kenwood Manor in Enid, Oklahoma. She married Wayne Prather on May 16, 1954 at the First Baptist Church in Dumas, Texas. Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Garber. Rev. Wilford Wisel will officiate. Interment will be at the Garber Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home of Garber. There will be a family visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2003 at the Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Garber in care of Dugger Funeral Home. Edith is survived by her husband, Wayne; two sons, DeWayne Carpenter of Texas and Carl Weldon Carpenter of Fort Worth, Texas; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
