Donald Lovesee

Donald W. Lovesee, 75, of Blackwell, Oklahoma died September 27, 2005 at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Donald was born February 26, 1930 in Lakin, Kansas to Homer J. and Violet BarnowLovesee. Donald graduated from high school in Lakin and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a Medic. Donald and Nancy Parker were married on June 5, 1955 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary earlier this year. Donald was an aircraft mechanic at TWA for 28 years; member of the International Association of Machinist, member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Meals on Wheels, Area Coordinator for AARP, volunteer at the Top of Oklahoma Historical Society Museum, member and past President of the Blackwell Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his wife Nancy of the home; his sons, Leslie A. Lovesee, and his wife, Kathie of Kansas City, Missouri, Philip A. Lovesee, and his wife, Sarah of Paola, Kansas, and Alexander L. Lovesee and his wife, Rebecca of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his sister, Betty M. Jones and her husband, Dale of Skiatook, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Brandon, Byron Lovesee, Callie Shackelford, Esabel, Esther Lovesee, Jennifer Lovesee-Mast, Jarek, Landon, Lesley, Luciender, Madison, Parker Lovesee, Phillip Shackelford, Pierce, Riley, Sterling Lovesee; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Emalie Lovesee. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2005 in the Dugger Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell, Oklahoma with Craig Barker, President of the Blackwell Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiating. Interment will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home, Blackwell, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in care of Dugger Funeral Home, 301 W. Blackwell Ave. Blackwell, Oklahoma. 74631.
