Donald Wesley Burke, longtime resident of Perry, completed his earthly journey, on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, in Galveston Texas. Donald was born, in Perry, Oklahoma on April 26, 1927 to parents Bernice M. Brewster and Lester C. Burke. Following his graduation from Perry High School, Donald proudly stepped up to serve his country, and is honored as a World War II Veteran. Donald retired from A.G. McKey, where he worked as a pipe fitter for many years. He enjoyed traveling, and because of his work, he was able to experience life in many different places such as Savannah, Georgia, Long Beach, Mississippi, Aruba, Canada, Mexico and many more. In his spare time, Donald also enjoyed attending auctions, finding furniture to restore, and was always looking for his next big adventure.
The comfort of his memory will be forever cherished, in the hearts of his family, as a beloved father, husband, son and friend.
Donald is survived by wife Roberta Burke, four sons Clinton D. Burke and spouse Laura, Steven D. Burke, E. David Burke and spouse Linda, and Patrick D. Burke, one stepson Scott Chenoweth and spouse Sage, ten grandchildren Chris Burke and spouse Michaela, Eric Burke, Brian Burke, Carl Burke and spouse Ricki, Jessica Burke and spouse Seth, Andrew Burke, Kimberly Burke, Lisa Flores and spouse Jorge, Sebastian Chenoweth, and Savannah Chenoweth, nine great-grandchildren Logan, Emily, Lucas, Colton, Anna, Oliver, Zane, Jordan, and Jorge. He is also survived by two brothers Glen Dean Burke and Lester Burke, as well as a host of other family members and treasured friends.
Donald is predeceased by his first wife Mary Lou Burke, one grandson Joseph Burke, his parents Lester C. Burke and Bernice M. Brewster and step parents Alice Burke and Clinton Brewster.
