Dolores Hugaboom, 61, of Garber, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Frank Zimri and Dorothy Rosalie Yauk Patterson. She was born October 25, 1948 in Woodward, Oklahoma and died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, Oklahoma. On April 11, 1976, Dolores married Eldon Hugaboom at the Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo, Oklahoma. Dolores true passion was spent playing golf. She also enjoyed reading, gardening and flowers. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She joined the Garber Lions Club in 2004. She enjoyed the friendships of Lions state wide and the service activities that involved helping others. She attended the 2009 International Convention at Minneapolis, Minnesota when Eldon was installed at Governor and traveled with him to the many activities, as the First Lady of District 3A Lions. She was elected to the Dr. Briggs Scholarship Fund Board and served a two year term. In 2005, she received the District 3A, R. Hal Long Rookie of the Year Award and in April 2010, she was honored with a Melvin Jones Fellowship. She served as an officer in the Garber Lions, and in 2006, received the International Lions 100 Secretary Award. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Meme, Darlin and friend by those who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Garber, Oklahoma. Pastor Joseph Myers will officiate. Interment will be in Garber Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home in Garber, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the Garber Lions Club Dolores Hugaboom Memorial Fund in care of Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Garber, Oklahoma 73738. Dolores is survived by her husband, Eldon Hugaboom three children, Damian Hugaboom and his wife, Teresa, and their children, Hilary, Gage and Zane, all of Hennessey, Oklahoma, Shawn Hugaboom and his wife, Darla, and their children, Amelia, Lucas and Seth, all of Edmond, Oklahoma and Tiffani Hugaboom and her son, Noah, both of Garber, Oklahoma one brother, Frank Patterson, Jr. of Mutual, Oklahoma ten sisters, Linda Hartley of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, Lorna Driscoll of Vinita, Oklahoma, Kathy Brown of Buffalo, Oklahoma, Deanna Staats of Woodward, Oklahoma, Jarie Coggins, Becky George, Lynnette Ingraham and Nolene Compton, all of Buffalo, Oklahoma, Marita Reichenberger of Woodward, Oklahoma and Rosalie Briggs of Blackwell, Oklahoma and one brotherinlaw, Dusty Hugaboom and his wife, Lisa, and family, of Enid, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Gavin Ryan Hugaboom and Aiden Joe Lawson and her parents, Frank and Dorothy Patterson.
