Deborah Lynn (Sponsler) Swanson passed away surrounded by family on September 8, 2021, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid Oklahoma at the young age of 68.
She is the daughter of John and Virginia (Dunn) Sponsler, born August 14, 1953, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended high school in Bloomington, MN, graduating in 1970. After receiving her associate's degree in business management, she joined the family business and worked at Code Electric with her father and brothers.
As one of ten siblings, mother of three, grandmother of thirteen and great-grandmother of five, Deb always put family first. She knew what mattered most in life and was generous with her love and time. She chose to live positively and faced challenges with determination and a smile. She made those around her feel special and important and truly blessed the lives of many. She was a gifted seamstress and quilter, always surrounded by her latest creations. She was also quite a handy woman and had the tools and skills to keep a house running.
Debbie raised her family and enjoyed time spent with her siblings and many nieces and nephews in the Minneapolis area until 2004. At that time she chose to move to Oklahoma where she was needed. As her family grew, she made the decision to stay in Oklahoma and help raise her young grandchildren. Recently she shared that it was a joy to fulfill that purpose in life. Her grandchildren were always the light of her life and she loved them fiercely.
Deborah is survived by her father, John Sponsler; her children, Chris (Shawn) Swanson, Kaija Swanson and Rahael Maxwell; her grandchildren, David, Noah and Levi Swanson, Latiya (Nick) Miller, Xavier Swanson, Noelle Swanson, Cailynn, Adelyn, Izzabelle, Lillian and Livia Maxwell; Great Grandchildren, Stormi Swanson, Mya, Braeden, Aliya and Nicklaus Swanson-Miller; Siblings, Connie (Andres), Steve (Joan), Terri, Tony (Tonnette), Rebecca, Jeff (Nancy), Gina (Scott); along with many nieces, nephews and other family members that she cherished.
She joins her mother, Virginia, two twin brothers and granddaughters, Victoria and Sasha, in the arms of Jesus.
