Daniel Wilkerson

Daniel Elmo Wilkerson, 80, of Perry, Oklahoma was the son of James Daniel and Sarah Pearl Curtis Wilkerson. He was born November 21, 1930 in Geary, Oklahoma and died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Elmo married Mary Ann Draper on July 23, 1950 in El Reno, Oklahoma. He retired from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol after twenty years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the Oklahoma State Retired Troopers Association and a member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed vacationing at Table Rock Lake with his family. His hobbies included traveling, playing cards, shooting pool, camping out, boating and water skiing. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at First United Methodist Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. Ed Cook will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 26, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Elmo is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Wilkerson, of the home one son, Daniel R. Wilkerson and his wife, Michele, of Phoenix, Arizona one daughter, Connie Ritze and her husband, Mike, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma six grandchildren, Daniel Z. Wilkerson and his wife, Kelly of Chandler, Arizona, Amity and Heidi Ritze, all of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Matthew Wilkerson, of Tempe, Arizona, Jamey Ritze, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Whitney Wilkerson of Chandler, Arizona one great grandson, Kai Wilkerson, of Chandler, Arizona one brother, Andy Wilkerson, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma He was preceded in death by his parents one sister, Florence Tinsley two brothers, Jack Wilkerson, and Willard Wilkerson.
