Clyde Manly Miller, 84, of El Reno, Oklahoma, was the son of George and Annette Bigler Miller. He was born February 25, 1921 in Calumet, Oklahoma and died Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at Blackwell, Oklahoma. He was raised north of Calumet, Oklahoma and graduated from Calumet High School. He was united in marriage to Violet Mae VanGundy on December 11, 1949 and resided on the grounds of Darlington Game Farm north of El Reno where he was employed with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife for 33 years until his retirement. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2005 at the Red Rock Methodist Church in Calumet, Oklahoma. His sons, Rev. C. Wesley Miller and Rev. George Manly Miller will be the officiants. Burial will be conducted at the Red Rock Cemetery at Calumet , Oklahoma under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home of Blackwell, Oklahoma. Memorials in his memory may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, 218 South A St., Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631. He was a lifetime resident of the El RenoCalumet area until health problems forced him and wife to move closer to family, and in 2000, they moved to Blackwell. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a man of his word with strong work ethics. To this union was born two sons, Rev. George Manly Miller and his wife Nancy, a missionary with Church of the Nazarene in Solomon Islands in the South Pacific and Rev. C. Wesley Miller and his wife Sara, an Evangelist of Church of the Nazarene, Taloga, Oklahoma. He was also survived by one brother, Glen Miller; three grandsons, Greg Miller and Wife Wendy, Geoffrey Miller and wife Churie all of Spencer, Oklahoma and Gary Miller of Bethany, Oklahoma; three granddaughters, Gloria Miller Nelson and husband, Scott of Commerce, Colorado, Christina Miller of Blackwell, Oklahoma and Sara Jane Miller Hau and husband, Brian of Blackwell, Oklahoma; and nine great grandchildren. His wife Violet Miller preceded him in death in September of 2001. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ray Miller, Fritz Miller, John Miller and Frank Miller; Two sisters, Nellie Smith and Pauline Kuster.
