Clarence Williams

Clarence E. Jack Williams, 85, of Perry, Oklahoma was the son of Edwin and Lula May Garver Williams. He was born April 21, 1924near Reydon, Oklahoma and died Sunday, September 20, 2009 at his home. On November 9, 1946, Jack married Mary Louise Biggs in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on July 17, 2007. He managed Lintz Department store from 1966 to 1973, and worked at Charles Machine Works from 1973 until his retirement in 1990. Jack served his country in the United States Army during World War II, with tours in North Africa, Italy, France and Germany. He enjoyed wood crafting, fishing and especially gardening. Jack was a member of the First Baptist Church where he had taught Sunday school. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Perry. Brother Aaron Summers will officiate. Committal services will be 4:30 p.m. in the Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry. Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes or American Diabetes Association in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Survivors are two sons, David Williams and his wife, Kathi, and Dee Williams and his wife, Kenda, all of Perry, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Nicole Beals and her husband Michael, of Tucson, Arizona, and Alicia Williams, Erin Williams and Evan Williams, all of Perry, Oklahoma, one great grandchild, Macie Ann Beals of Tucson, Arizona; and three sisters, Goldie Parks and Zella Biggs, both of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Ina Cole of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Louise Williams, two brothers Vernon and Lee Williams, one sister, May Gillispie.
