Charles Esco Lee, 84, formerly of Perry, Oklahoma was the son of Charles Lee Sr. and Bessie Sara Henry Lee. He was born August 6, 1928 in Knoxville, Tennessee and died Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Charles moved to Perry, Oklahoma with his wife Norma Jean in 1986 from Phoenix, Arizona. Charles better known in Perry as Charlie owned and operated a small engine repair shop on the south side of the square on Cedar Street for over 20 years. He was always working on small engines and years ago in Phoenix he ran a tree and landscaping business as well. Charlie was also an avid watch maker back in the earlier days. He enjoyed country music and went dancing regularly with his present wife, Mildred. He liked to gamble, play cards and watch classic movies. Charlie had a great sense of humor and was quite the business man. His children will always remember how he was always able to make them laugh. He was a genuine and special person and will truly be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the BrownDugger Funeral Home Chapel in Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. Roger Dunn will officiate. Interment will be at Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Charles is survived by his wife Mildred of Stillwater, Oklahoma daughters, Donna Butterfield, Bonnie Myers and Nancy Bigbee all of Perry, Oklahoma, Carrie Hamlette of Tucson, Arizona ten grandchildren sixteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Norma Jean Smith son, Charles Lee Jr daughter, Andrea Hines parents, Charles Lee Sr. and Bessie Sara Lee Henry brothers Robert Lee, Frank Lee and Ronnie Lee.
