Charles Robert Chuck Cooper, 83, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the son of William Lee and Lorraine Bissel Cooper. He was born on March 9, 1925 in Red Rock, Oklahoma and died Friday, January 2, 2009 at the Perry Memorial Hospital. Chuck served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1944 until 1946. On March 20, 1946, Chuck married Marie Kathleen Foreman in Perry, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on October 1, 1986. He enjoyed farming, working his cattle, dancing, traveling, drawing and wood carving. Chuck was a member of the Ceres Christian Church and the Red Rock Sportsman Club. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chris Short will officiate. Interment will be in Red Rock Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Chuck is survived by two sons, Charles Roy Cooper of Red Rock, Oklahoma and Craig Lee Cooper of Inola, Oklahoma; one daughter, Cheryl Marie Sharp of Tuttle, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Phoebe Hope Cooper of Inola, Oklahoma and Susan Marie Cooper of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two brothers, Marvin Cooper and Leon Cooper, both of Hennessey, Oklahoma; two sisters, Coralie Manning of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Wanda Gibson of Van Buren, Arkansas and his faithful companion, Thelma Oldridge of Perry, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Cooper, parents, William and Lorraine Cooper, two sisters, Lucille Simpson and Wilma Cochran and one infant brother, Billy Cooper.
