Bryan Christian Chavez, 23, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was the son of Henry Don Chavez and Candace Diane Bradway. He was born on June 16, 1988 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He graduated from Putnam City West High School in 2010. Bryan was a member of the Church of the Servant in Oklahoma City where once a month he participated in Hannahs Promise. He loved his stepfather Howard who became not only his friend but someone he could rely on. Bryan loved to attend camp at Make Promises Happen and this was a place that he loved to go and enjoyed just being a part of everything. He enjoyed OU football and watching cartoons, his favorites being Scooby Doo and Little Bear. Bryan will be remembered as a loving person who filled the lives of those who knew him with love and laughter. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012 at Church of the Servant, 14343 N. MacArthur Blvd., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Rev. Tim Travers will officiate and will be assisted by Rev. Patrick McAndrew and Rev.Yvonne McAndrew. Interment will be at 5:30 p.m. in Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hannahs Promise in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Bryan is survived by his mother, Candace and her husband, Howard of the home his father, Henry Don Chavez of Oklahoma City maternal grandfather, Alvin Cockrum of Perry, Oklahoma paternal grandparents, Henry Chavez and Betty Jefferson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma uncle, Randy Cockrum and his wife Sandy of Perry, Oklahoma aunt, Earline Cockrum of Crowley, Texas five cousins, Sheila Presley and her fianceacute, Mark Emerson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Shelly Johnson and her husband, Eddie of Perry, Oklahoma, Paul Cockrum and his wife, Shelly of Crowley, Texas, April Sewell and her husband, Cody of Perry, Oklahoma and Emerald Groom and her husband, Mike of Edmond, Oklahoma eight great cousins, Jacob and Leah Presley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Zane and Kassandra Johnson of Perry, Oklahoma, Carley, Clay and Curt Cockrum all of Crowley, Texas, Skylar Sewell of Perry, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Cockrum uncle, Chris Cockrum one great cousin, Clint Lynn Sewell.
