Bonnie Knopfel

Bonnie Fay Kapka Knopfel, 98, was the daughter of Ulysses Grant and Sarah Etta Michael Goe. She was born on November 22, 1910 in Hayward, Oklahoma and died Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Perry Memorial Hospital. She was a 1929 graduate of Hayward High School. On March 15, 1929, Bonnie married Lloyd W. Kapka in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1951. Bonnie later married James F. Knopfel on March 23, 1954 in Enid, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2001. Bonnie was a homemaker and worked at the Perry Memorial Hospital for 10 years. She was a member of the Lucien United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the Lucien United Methodist Church. Rev. Dane Lemmons will officiate. Interment will be in Hayward Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry. Memorials may be made to the Lucien United Methodist Church in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Bonnie is survived by one son, Mike Kapka and his wife, Donna, of Perry, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Regina Miller and her husband, Wes, of Woodward, Oklahoma and Sara Kamphaus and her husband, Bob, of Mansfield, Texas and four great-grandchildren, Nathan Miller and his wife, Ashley, of Lemoore, California, Erin Miller of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Brandon Kamphaus and Ethan Kamphaus, both of Mansfield, Texas and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, one son, Mark Kapka, three sisters and three brothers.
