Bobby Broadwater

Bobby Gene Broadwater, 69, of Blackwell, Oklahoma was the son of Thurman and Jimmie AgnesTilleyBroadwater. He was born September 24, 1935 in Peru, Oklahoma and died June 8, 2005 at Ponca City Nursing Home, Ponca City, Oklahoma. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Bobby came to Blackwell at an early age with his parents where he was raised and educated. In 1955 he joined the U.S. Marines and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California, serving for four years. He was united in marriage with Helen Baker August 31, 1960 in Carson City, Nevada. He began working for the Civil Service at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, California where he worked for 33 years. After retirement he moved back to Blackwell. He was head of Northern California Radio Club for seven years. His hobbies included horseback riding, C-B radio and motorcycle riding. He is survived by his wife Helen of the home; his daughter, Sheryl R. Broadwater of Blackwell, Oklahoma; his step sons, Clifford Dunn and Robert Dunn, both of California; his stepdaughters; Linda S. Fox and husband, Tony of Blackwell, Oklahoma and Barbra A. Medonca of Carlotta, California; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
