Billie Bollinger, age 68, of Perry, Oklahoma entered the gates of heaven at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2008. Billie Faye Scott was born in Locksburg, Arkansas, on September 25, 1939. She was the only biological child of Velma Smith Scott and Roy Scott. Billie was blessed to be the daughter of two Christian parents who raised her with unsurpassed love in the midst of a large extended family outside of Valliant, Oklahoma. She grew up with three cousinsmdash;her brothersmdash;Chloey, Donald and Ed Smith. Billie started dating the tall lanky Eugene Charles Gene Bollinger when she was 14 years old and ultimately was his beloved wife and partner for almost 50 years. Billie and Gene have lived in Perry, Oklahoma since March 1970. They are members of the First Baptist Church. Billie worked for Three Sands Oil in Perry for 17 years until she retired. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Brother Aaron Summers will officiate. Committal services will be at 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2008 in the Moran Cemetery at Valliant, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Billie leaves behind her husband, Gene, and two daughtersmdash;Sherrie and Susanmdash;who will miss her more than words can ever express. She was the very proud Grandmom of Sherrie and her husband, Hayden Henry's daughter, Jordan, age 13, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Susan and Russell Key's son, Cody, age 12, of Frisco, Texas. With style and grace, Billie is playing on ahead with clubs of gold up in heaven and maybe singing alto in a heavenly quartet like she did on the local radio and in church in her youth. She passed away peacefully in Plano, Texas, less than two days after diagnosis of an aggressive brain tumor. There was no time to say good-bye for now to the extended family and many friends who were so dear to her, but she was thankful for each and every one of you. Condolences may be sent to the family using our online guest book at www.brown-duggerfuneralhome.com.
