Billie Mack Johnson, 80, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the son of Albert H. and Ida M. Grother Johnson. He was born on October 10, 1929 in Blaine Township in Garfield County and died on Thursday July 8, 2010 at Perry Memorial Hospital. He graduated high school in 1948 from Billings High School in Billings, Oklahoma. He married Isabell Thorman on July 13, 1952 in Perry, Oklahoma. Bill retired from Sinclair Atlantic Richfield Oilfield Company after working for 25 years. Together with his sons, Bill started Big J Tank Truck Service followed by an oilfield production company, and a farming and cattle operation. Bill joined the Oklahoma National Guard in 1948 in the Company I 179th infantry regiment 45th infantry division. In 1950 he was called into active duty and served in the Korean War from 19501952. He received an Occupation Medal Japan and a Korean Service Medal with one bronze service star. Bill was a member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion and the DAV. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Perry. Rev. William Metz will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8: 00 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2010 at BrownDugger Funeral Home. Bill is survived by his wife, Isabell, of the home two sons, Mike Johnson, and his wife, Dixie, and Scott Johnson, and his wife, Kristi, all of Perry, Oklahoma one daughter, Penny Etris, of Jenks, Oklahoma six grandchildren, Myriah Johnson, of Bryan, Texas, Tate Johnson, of Wichita, Kansas, Shane Etris, of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Dakota Johnson, Kaelee Johnson, and Heath Etris, all of Perry, Oklahoma one greatgranddaughter, Charolette Etris one brother, John Johnson and his wife, Bertha, of Rosanky, Texas one sister Ione Combrink, of Enid, Oklahoma.
