Betty Lou Mesloh Dodson, 82, of Enid was born on September 2, 1927 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Earl Vivan and Dorthy Gwendolen Norfleet Fritts. She went to be with her Savior on January 23, 2010 in Enid, Oklahoma. She was a 1945 graduate from Henryetta High School. She later graduated from Oklahoma AM in 1951 obtaining a degree in Elementary Education. Betty married Melvin Mesloh on June 14, 1958 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in February 1979. She resided in Perry from October 1967 until August 1986 when she married James Wesley Dodson. They made their home in Enid. She taught school in the Perry Public School system for over seven years. Her hobbies included reading, cooking, and plastic canvas. Her greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Richburg Cemetery in Perry. Pastor Steve Meier will officiate. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Ross Hospice in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Betty is survived by her husband, James Wesley Dodson, of Enid, Oklahoma son, Michael Ronnie Mesloh and wife Coralee Ann, of Perry, Oklahoma stepdaughter, Jane DiLuzio, of Enid, Oklahoma grandson, Micah Isaac Mesloh, stepgranddaughter, Sarah Jane DiLuzio sister, Donna Lane, of Del City, Oklahoma brother and sisterinlaws, Marvin Schmidt and wife Helen, of Deshler, Nebraska, Jerry Dodson and wife Teresa, of Ponca City, Oklahoma brotherinlaw, Leonard Dodson, of Lawrence, Kansas sisterinlaw, Sally Fritts, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and twenty nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Mesloh parents, Earl and Dorthy Fritts brother, Ronnie Fritts sisterinlaw, Martha Dodson and brotherinlaw, Tom Dodson.
