Bessie Farley

Bessie Doris Rowe Farley, 78 of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, died Thursday, November 17, 2005. Bessie was born May 16, 1927 in Hinton, Oklahoma the daughter of Oscar and Neva Allen Rowe. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Dugger Funeral Home Chapel in Tonkawa, Oklahoma with Rev. Richard Thomasson officiating. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Tonkawa. Arrangements are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home of Tonkawa. She grew up in Gracemont, Oklahoma and graduated from Lahoma, Oklahoma in 1947. She worked most of her life in nursing care and retired in 1989. She married Franklin J. Farley December 20, 1947 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Living in Guthrie before moving to Lahoma and in 1951 they moved to Tonkawa making this their home until her death. She is survived by her sons, Robert V. Farley of Tonkawa, Oklahoma and John J. Farley and his wife, Donita of Enid, Oklahoma; her daughters, Linda Merritt, Brenda Farrington and her husband, Scott of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Rita Stout of Ponca City, Oklahoma; her brother, Veston Rowe of Ft. Worth, Texas; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Franklin on November 15, 1988, her parents, two brothers and a sister.
