Bertha Beasley

Bertha C. Beasley, 99, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Emery Ellsworth and Alice Belle Hunter Swisher. She was born on October 7, 1907 in Ringwood, Oklahoma and died October 19, 2006 at Westhaven Nursing Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Bertha and John H. Beasley were married on November 7, 1924 in Perry, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1997. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Perry, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2006 in the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Judith Karman Hospice in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, OK 73077. There will be a family visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2006 at the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Bertha is survived by one son, Ellis Beasley of Perry, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Ellison Beasley of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Dan Beasley of Perry, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Janene Bridwell of Midwest City, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren, Kim Jackson and Kristen Beasley, both of Edmond, Oklahoma, Suzanne Bridgeman of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Jaylie Hoggatt of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Cody Beasley of Stillwater, Oklahoma; four great-great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, Kristine Hoffman of Kansas City, Kansas, Keith Newton and Lyle Newton, both of Perry, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, one great-grandchild, her parents, four brothers and one sister.
