Beatrice Green

Beatrice R. Green age 86, of Garber, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Garber, Oklahoma with the Pastor Mark Hein officiating. Burial will follow in the Garber Cemetery under the direction of the Dugger Funeral Home in Garber, Oklahoma.

Visitation hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2018 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Dugger Funeral Home in Garber, Oklahoma.

The family has suggested memorials to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Lutheran World Relief and contributions may be left at the Dugger Funeral Home.

Beatrice R. Green was born June 6, 1932 on the family farm in Breckenridge, Oklahoma to Julius and Belva (Bacon) Evers. She grew up on the farm in Breckenridge, Oklahoma. She attended elementary school at the Union School, middle school at Immanuel Lutheran, and then graduated from Garber High School in 1950.

On September 5, 1950 Beatrice married Kenneth Green at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Breckenridge, Oklahoma. They transferred to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Garber in the 1950s. She was a homemaker, babysitter, seamstress, and worked at the Garber Post Office. Beatrice was a member of the Garber Nuway Club and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was an active member of the community, and you could often find her at school events, supporting her loved ones involved in sports and music. She was a dedicated Sunday school teacher for over 60 years and also taught Bible school and midweek classes to young children for many years. Her greatest passions in life were spending time with family, cooking for others, and teaching children about Jesus.

Survivors include three children Kathy Sims and husband Bill of Enid, Oklahoma, Douglas Green and wife Mary of Carmen, Oklahoma and Angela Amundson and husband Troy of Garber, Oklahoma; one sister Donita Southwick and husband Paul of Garber, Oklahoma; One Sister in law Alberta Echols and husband Dale of Hominy, Oklahoma; Seven Grandchildren Billy and wife Lori Sims, Tiffany and husband Randy Plunkett, Cassity and husband Coy Reed, Casey and wife Brandi Green, Coty and wife Laura Green, Emily and husband Cameron Cook, and Elise Amundson; 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death her husband Kenneth; her parents; two sons Kenneth Lynn Green and Timothy Jay Green; three brothers Bernard, Verlon and Donald and one sister Vivian Walters.
