Aylene B. Garvie, 85, of Morrison, Oklahoma was the daughter of Mervin and Eva Renshaw Cross. She was born June 8, 1922 in Woodward County, Oklahoma and died Monday, September 3, 2007 at her home. She was cared for by her loving family during her lengthy illness. Aylene grew up and attended school in Woodward County and graduated from Mooreland High School. She also attended Northwestern University in Alva, Oklahoma. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many good friends. Aylene was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Perry, Oklahoma and loved everyone in her church family. She was always grateful to them for their love, support and prayers. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Zion Lutheran Church, east of Perry. Pastor Dan Thimell will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery at Perry. Services will be under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry. A family visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church of Perry or Judith Karman Hospice of Stillwater in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Survivors are her friend and long-time companion, Henry Voise, of Perry, Oklahoma; one son, Larry Garvie, of Morrison, Oklahoma; two daughters, Burdettya Linn and her husband, John Aaron, of Red Rock, Oklahoma and Marilyn Kerr, of Morrison, Oklahoma; a special daughter-in-law, Barbara Garvie, of Morrison, Oklahoma; four sisters, Betty Trissel, Maxine Kennedy, Joy Sears and Rita Postlewait; two sisters-in-law, Fayanna Winters and Ruth Holloway; nine grandchildren, Teri James, of Morrison, Oklahoma, Leicia Leigh and her husband, Kelly, of Morrison, Oklahoma, Dana Inselman and her husband, John, of Lucien, Oklahoma, Shawn Garvie, of Perry, Oklahoma, Larri Veit and her husband, Dale, of Morrison, Oklahoma, JoDawn Parrish and her husband, Mike, of Kremlin, Oklahoma, D.J. Linn and his wife, Mindy, of Red Rock, Oklahoma, David Kerr and his wife, Kerri, of Pond Creek, Oklahoma, and Joanna Kerr, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Dylan and Cale James; Cody and Amber Leigh; Laine and Kyle Wheatley; Kelli and Shelbi Veit; Taylor and Cash Parrish; Kelby and Payten Linn and Tyler and Aaron Kerr. Aylene was preceded in death by her husband, Burdette Garvie; her parents and one son, H.B. Garvie.
