Alice Gould

Alice Marie Gould, 89, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Jesse Benjamin and Mary Opal Spillman Bridges. She was born on November 29, 1918 in Payne County and died, Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Perry Memorial Hospital. On December 24, 1935, Marie married William Otis Gould in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1975. She was a member of the First Christian Church where she spent over twenty years as a service chairman and was a member of Hope Circle. Marie was also a member of Jolly 12 and Black Bear Home Demonstration Club. She enjoyed the neighborhood children visiting with her and she took pride in spoiling them with her cookies. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Albert Quick will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2008 at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church Youth Center in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Marie is survived by one daughter, Barbara Tessmann and her husband, Richard, of Perry, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Michael Tessmann and his wife, Vickie, of Perry, Oklahoma and Douglas Tessmann and his wife, Janet, of Pawnee, Oklahoma; six great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren with one more due on October 6th and one sister, Rosalie Kime of Perry, Oklahoma.
